Maybelline New Product Review & Rimmel Mascara

So I'm not normally one to be sucked into advertising but Maybellines new advert did intrgue me somewhat.  So the very next day I went to my local drug store and decided to purchase 2 of their new products.

Their anti-age primer and the gel eyeliner you apply using a brush!

I used the tester of the primer  in the store and tried it of my hand and my skin went beautifully soft and I thought would make a perfect base for my foundation.  The next day before applying my make up I used the primer, and just as suspected, my skin went beautifully soft and silky and made my foundation look amazing.  I had been using this for about 1 week when I started to notice my skin was coming up in spots and blemishes.  At first I put this down to hormones but they just wouldn't go away!  I read on someones elses blog that the same thing happened to them when they used a BodyShop primer!  It never occured to me before then that it could be the primer!  I haven't changed anything else in my skincare routine.  I am absolutely gutted as before it did this to my skin it did just the job!  Has anyone had a similier experience with Maybelline or any other brand??

But on a plus plus plus note their gel eyeliner is an absolute beauty!  I didn't even know that their was such a thing as brush on eyeliner!  It look a few attempts to get used to it but now I wouldn't use anything else.

I also want to rave about my new Rimmel Lash Acccelerator Mascara.  This is the best mascara I have ever used.  It does exactly what it says.  And it doesn't pull my eyelashes off when I'm taking off my make up at the end of the day!

As you can see the brush has fine bristles and it doesn't come out all clumpy. 5 stars for this!

I hope I will be able to find a primer that my skin wont hate in the near future! :)  If you have any suggestions let me know if the comments below.

Thanks guys! xx

Models Own Addiction

So I guess its no secret if you have been following me on twitter.  I am completely and utterly in love with Models Own nail polish.  So I thought I would share with you my colour of the week - yes that is how long it lasts on me!

Firstly I polished my nails using Models Own 6-way-buffer and let me tell you, if you haven't got one of these...WHY THE HELL NOT! It is amazing.  The 6 sides are 2 filling sides then in number order it is:

1.yellow -even it,
2.green -smooth it,
3.purple -buff it
4.blue-shine it

So once I had gone through this procedure I then applied  a bass coat also by Models Own (their 3in1 base coat top coat and gloss)  Once this had dried then I applied my colour of the week......Misty Grey!!

As you can see it doesn't leave any nasty bubbly bits and has even coverage.  This is with 2 coats on.

These are all the products I used for my manicure:

I have to say though that the only downside to Models Own nail polish is that now I can no longer use any other brand!  So  my request to Models Own is...Please never leave me.

Thanks guys & hope you enjoyed my blog!xx

Friday Shopping Haul

Hello!

Hope you've have a good week!  Thought I would share with you what I got today in town.  Some amazing bargains to be had out there!

First I went to Primark, as you do, and I got some gorgeous accessories.  Sunglasses £3 and they had a green tint.  Blue & white nautical bangle £2.50.  Tan skinny belt £1 and an animal print skarf £2.

                                                                         Primark

Next I went to Zara, I really have a very unhealthy addiction to Zara.  But with good reason! I got some suede feel ankle trousers that were £19.99 down to £5.99!  And a dusky pink chunky knit long jumper for £9.99, didnt have a tag on it so I don't know what the full price was.

                                                                          Zara

FINALLY I popped in to H&M and they had 50% off selected knitwear so I got a loose fit blue & white stippy knit top for £4.99 and a dusky pink long cardigan for £7.50!

                                                                           H&M

I paired up the Zara trousers with the blue & white stripe top with nude heels and it looked fab!

Send me a comment on what you thought!

See you next time!

Bargains and More Things!

Hello Fellow Bloggers!

Well my Lady Gaga Viva Glam arrived today and I have to say  I think the colour is amazing! I was a bit shocked that it wasn't as bold on as I thought it was going to be.  I heard a few people say that they felt it was "unwearable" but I think on it looks like a really pretty pink!Totally wearable for all skin tones. It's very moisturising and has a frosted sheen to it. I would like it to go on a bit more....bolder, but I suppose I can just reapply a few times for that look.

I also popped in to Zara today to see what they had left in the sale.  I got two items.  A skirt and a loose fit jumper.  The skirt is a camel coloured knee length knit skirt, looks fab with boots. And the jumper is a knit pale pink that would go perfect with dark jeans and tan heels.  I will put pics up ASAP!  They were both bargains.  The skirt was £7.99 and the jumper was £4.99! Can you beleive!

The Zara near me still had alot of items left.  Jackets, blazers, skirts, jeans, trousers, tees, etc.  And the guy at the till said that some items are being reduced again tomorrow and they have already reduced things twice already!

For the past 3 days I have been using Loreal Visible Radiance Renewing Cleansing Milk and Loreal Rewing Gel toner.  The cleansing milk is to remove make up which is exactly what it does do and the toner...not seen any of that working just yet but need to give it more time really.  But what I wanted to say was that using these products together has got rid of my spots!  They don't say that the do that on the bottle but...they did! I had 4 larger than life ones on my chin and now....nothing.  I'm shocked! But very very happy!  Horrah! So will definately continue with those two products.  There're on special offer in Asda at the moment, £2 each! Throughly recommend!

Trying out my new Mac brush set tomorrow! Will rate those for you too.

Product Review

Hi, so today I was super excited as my Mac lipstick came in the post.  Its called Naked Paris and I have to say I am raving about this.  I will explain...

It is pink with brownish undertones and goes on in a very matte effect.  This I love as I looks very natural which is perfect for when you go heavy on the eye make up. I have ordered the Lady Gaga Viva Glam lipstick which I will also write a review about when it arrives.

I also have to give a big big thumbs up to ModelsOwnIt.com. I ordered 3 nail polishes and they are the best ones I have ever used!  They go on so well and it dries glossy which is brilliant! I do alot of housework and they still look amazing! The colours I ordered are Nude Beige, Misty Grey and Lemon.  I have tried all of them and now I am hooked! Check out their box sets! 6 polishes for £20 instead of £30 and they come in a Models Own gorgeous box.

I also have to say I am absolutely loving the new collection at Zara.  If you haven't checked it out yet you really should.
